AmeriCAN-DO Attitude

Are you an AmeriCAN or an AmeriCAN'T?

The Most Irresponsible, Incompetent President in History?

Via HotAir Headlines: Federal Reserve knew about AIG bonuses three months ago, didn’t tell Obama

Obama learned of the bonuses March 12, the day before they were paid out, from Axelrod, whom Geithner had briefed on the situation. The president was “aggravated” and “a little bit disbelieving,” Axelrod said in an interview yesterday.

When is the mass media going to ask the *obvious* question(s):

“President Teleprompter… there was specific wording about the bonuses — inserted by your DEMOCRAT colleague Senator Chris Dodd —  in the very legislation that you signed weeks ago. If you are admitting that you only found out about the bonuses the day before they were paid out, are you then also admitting that you don’t bother to read the legislation that you sign into law?  Isn’t that a bit irresponsible?  Allocating Billion$ of dollars of the American people’s money without knowing anything about how it is being spent?  Why do you make time to fill out NCAA brackets and go on Jay Leno, but do not make time to read the bills you sign into law?”

Amazing how we average dopes can do journalism better than the propaganda mass media:

Obama found out on March 12th, but did not know about it on February 11th, when he signed the legislation with the bonus clause in it?

Yeah, right. I totally believe greasy Axelrod (wink, wink)

If the King and Congress had only stopped to read the bill… oh wait, they didn’t WANT anyone to read the bill before it passed, otherwise, someone would have seen this.

I say BO is a flat out LIAR !!!!

It was in the “stimulus”. For Obama not to know, he would have had to sign the “stimulus” WITHOUT READING IT. He wouldn’t have signed a bill which spends $800 Billion of our kids’ money WITHOUT READING IT would he?

Treasury Secretary Timothy F. Geithner, a central figure in the decision to bail out AIG last fall as president of the Federal Reserve Bank of New York, said in an interview yesterday that he had not been aware of the size of the bonuses and the timing of the payments.

This is the equivalent of saying “the dog ate my homework”.

Not aware? It’s his stinking job to be aware. He’s the watchdog. He’s the Fed oversight. He was the financial genius who said we had no choice but to bailout AIG, yet failed to read the fine print in the bailout package itself?

Ain’t buyin’ it. He’s either incompetent or a liar.

I say both. Buh-Bye Timmy.

There’s a word to describe the situation wherein you can’t manage to communicate a believeable narrative even when you are the Big Boss, your allies control the leaking mechanisms known as the House and Senate, and the media watchdog is lying across your lap, eyes closed and looking only for a long belly-rub way down low.

I believe the word is “incompetence”.
