Obama vs Palin – Who’s More Springer-ish?

Jerry Springer, that is.

The mass media is *still* in full attack, smear and destroy mode with Sarah Palin. Apparently, they find so much over which to ridicule her and her family, yet found absolutely nothing regarding Barack Obama and his 2-decade political history and awkward family upbringing.

Via HotAir Headlines, I thought this comment there in response to a Palin-hater was great:

This whole Sarah Palin thing has just turned into one great big disgusting episode of the Jerry Springer show. Why can’t she just crawl back into whatever hole in the ground she came out of and leave the public spotlight forever. It’s the very least her and her horribly dysfunctional family could do for the country and the Republican Party.

And yet, we have a president whose mother briefly married his father, after their relationship ended married another man, left Barak in the care of her parents for years at a time, and he has siblings and half-siblings scattered all over the globe.

I could go on and on, but I’ll end with the breaking story that his half-brother Samson apparently wasn’t allowed to get a visa in the U.K. over sex assault charges.

Obama brother accused of UK sex assault — Samson denied British visa after incident with teen girl in Berkshire

But, yeah, Palin has a “dysfunctional” family with her husband of 20+ years, several children living in their home with both parents, one son in the military and a daughter living in their home with her baby.

Heh. Yep. Apparently, having a normal, run-of-the-mill American family is apparently bad for American politics. But the following is definitely worthy of an American President:

* choosing a racist, America-hating, Black Supremacist preacher as one’s spiritual and political mentor for 2 decades
* choosing a racist, America-hating, Black Supremacist “Christian” Church for one’s marriage and for one’s daughters to attend
* choosing an America-hating, Communist domestic terrorist as one’s political mentor and using his political connections to jump start one’s political career
* choosing to work for an America-hating, Communist domestic terrorist and spreading his ideology within the Chicago school system by way of the Chicago Annenberg Challenge
* having one’s grandmother live in America illegally for years
* supporting and campaigning for one’s radical Islamist cousin as he runs for office in one’s native Kenya
* marrying a woman who is ashamed of the racist United States until her husband wins a political Party’s nomination for President

As commenter “cs89” states, I could go on and on and on. The people who ridicule Sarah Palin’s personal life as a disgrace to politics yet worship at the throne of Obama are absolute pathetic tools.

It is Time to Wake Up and Smell the Communism, People

I respect David Horowitz a great deal for his collection of work and ideological progression from basically communism to conservatism. In fact, his FrontPageMagazine site is a weekly read of mine. However, in his latest piece, I have to strongly take issue with his request that essentially we need to calm down about the creeping Communism in this country, directed by President Teleprompter himself.

Here is his article, via HotAir headlines: Obama Derangement Syndrome

It is also true Obama has ceded his domestic economic agenda to the House Democrats and spent a lot of money in the process. But what’s the surprise in this? After all, Bush and McCain both proposed (and in Bush’s case pushed through) massive government giveaways (which amount to government takeovers as well). This is bad, but it doesn’t make Obama a closet Mussolini, however deplorable the conservatives among us may regard it. Moreover, he’s already run into political resistance even within his own party. Charlie Rangel has made it clear that the itemized deduction tax hike is not going through his committee – and that should tell you that the American system, the one the Founders created, is still in place.

Even as astute a conservative thinker as Mark Steyn has been swept up in the tide that thinks Obama is a “transformative” radical. But look again at his approach to the wars in Afghanistan and Iraq. In both cases, as noted, he is carrying out the Bush policies – the same that he once joined his fellow Democrats in condemning. And that should be reassuring to anyone concerned about where he is heading as commander-in-chief.

In other words, while it’s reasonable to be unhappy with a Democratic administration and even concerned because the Democrats are now a socialist party in the European sense, we are not witnessing the coming of the anti-Christ.

Here are my comments:

Wasn’t Winston Churchill considered a kook to have “derangement syndrome” when he shouted his warnings of impending doom way back when…

People are trying to warn the nation and the world about Obama destroying this country and yet we are told to sit down and shut up and relax, because we just have “ODS (Obama Derangement Syndrome)” and things are not that bad. Brilliant.

Seriously, have people completely wiped from their memories Obama’s 2 DECADES of ideological mentoring from Socialists, Communists, Marxists and Racists, not to mention America-hating domestic terrorists? Do people honestly think that during those 20 years of learning and forming his views of America and views of capitalism that he didn’t become a Socialist/Communist/Marxist? Do people forget that he has studied the Saul Alinsky model of Rules for Radicals and the Cloward-Piven strategy? Did all that just go away as soon as he became President and now he gets a clean slate and we are to forget that he trained and studied and planned for this exact moment to ENACT all that he has learned and planned?

Have people gone mad?!?

Sorry, those of us who point this shit out do not have “ODS”, we are looking at fucking reality. For people to sit there and tell us to calm down after 20 years of background on this RADICAL — who has blatantly promised to transform this nation — and after his RADICAL actions during his first 3 months in office, that’s just ridiculous and unacceptable.

People need to wake the hell up and open their gawd damned eyes and STOP this shite before it’s too late. We should not sit here and wait and wait and wait and remain calm while a gawd damned Communist transforms our country before our very eyes and then we’re at the point that it is too late.

Rush sounded the fucking alarm to PREVENT this shit way back in January and here we are 3 months later, after 3 months of RADICAL transformation of this nation and we’re squabbling about ODS? Are you fucking kidding me?!?

Wake.up.people.

Teleprompter Jesus vs El Rushbo – Here’s a Thought…

What would be interesting would be for the mass media to do an analysis of what Rush has been doing (charities, military support, etc) and saying (conservative principles) since he has been on the air in 1988… and compare that to what The Obama has been doing (racist Church, communist, racist, Marxist terrorist buddies Ayers and Wright along with ACORN, Chicago Annenberg Challenge, dealings with Rezko, support for Raila Odinga in Kenya, etc) and saying (communist, terrosist-appeasing, anti-Israel, Marxism, Alinsky-ism, etc) since 1988.

That would be quite the eye opener if done in a completely objective way.

Then we can have a true discusson about what is and is not “un-American”.

Tomorrow, Will Teleprompter Jesus ask God to DAMN America?

After reading this from Curt at Flopping Aces, I find myself wondering…

Will ‘Teleprompter Jesus’ conclude his speech tomorrow by saying, in the words of his mentor, “and god DAMN the United States of KKK America!!!”?

I wonder if he will also rip down all the flags and crumple them all up and stand on them like his buddy Billy Ayers?

I wonder if he will allude, in the words of his spiritual mentor and friend of 2 decades, to the “Fondling Fathers” of this nation?

I wonder if he will forgive us all our daily trespasses of White Greed and the original sin of spreading the AIDS virus to wipe out Black people?

All I know is that when I hear ‘Teleprompter Jesus’ talk, I hear the teacher from Charlie Brown: “wah wah wahwahwah Hope wahwah wah wah wah Change wah Hope wah wah Change wahwah Change Hope wah Hope wah wah Change”.

And then I turn and see 52% of my fellow American voters, in a creepy cult-like manner, chant “Oh-baaaaah-mah… Oh-baaaah-mah… Oh-baaaah-mah…”

I wonder if The Obama will sell Obama Prayer Rugs, that his cult followers can kneel on 5 times a day, facing Washington, D.C. and chant “Hope, Change, I pledge to be a servant of Oh-baaaah-mah. Hope, Change, I pledge to be a servant of Oh-baaaah-mah.” Not as catchy as “Alahu Ackbar” or “Aloha Snackbar”, but maybe they’ll come up with something better in the next 4 years.

Obama – An Old-Fashioned, Big Government, Race-Conscious Liberal Category: News and Politics

Via Thomas Lifson at The American Thinker Blog: Obama as a State Senator

Stanley Kurtz at The Weekly Standard: Barack Obama’s Lost Years

Barack Obama’s neighborhood newspaper, the Hyde Park Herald, has a longstanding tradition of opening its pages to elected officials – from Chicago aldermen to state legislators to U.S. senators. Obama himself, as a state senator, wrote more than 40 columns for the Herald, under the title “Springfield Report,” between 1996 and 2004. Read in isolation, Obama’s columns from the state capital tell us little. Placed in the context of political and policy battles then raging in Illinois, however, the young legislator’s dispatches powerfully illuminate his political beliefs. Even more revealing are hundreds of articles chronicling Obama’s early political and legislative activities in the pages not only of the Hyde Park Herald, but also of another South Side fixture, the Chicago Defender.

Obama moved to Chicago in order to place himself in what he understood to be the de facto “capital” of black America. For well over 100 years, the Chicago Defender has been the voice of that capital, and therefore a paper of national significance for African Americans. Early on in his political career, Obama complained of being slighted by major media, like the Chicago Tribune and the Chicago Sun-Times. Yet extensive and continuous coverage in both the Chicago Defender and the Hyde Park Herald presents a remarkable resource for understanding who Obama is. Reportage in these two papers is particularly significant because Obama’s early political career – the time between his first campaign for the Illinois State Senate in 1995 and his race for U.S. Senate in 2004 – can fairly be called the “lost years,” the period Obama seems least eager to talk about, in contrast to his formative years in Hawaii, California, and New York or his days as a community organizer, both of which are recounted in his memoir, Dreams from My Father. The pages of the Hyde Park Herald and the Chicago Defender thus offer entrée into Obama’s heretofore hidden world.

What they portray is a Barack Obama sharply at variance with the image of the post-racial, post-ideological, bipartisan, culture-war-shunning politician familiar from current media coverage and purveyed by the Obama campaign. As details of Obama’s early political career emerge into the light, his associations with such radical figures as Reverend Jeremiah Wright, Father Michael Pfleger, Reverend James Meeks, Bill Ayers, and Bernardine Dohrn look less like peculiar instances of personal misjudgment and more like intentional political partnerships. At his core, in other words, the politician chronicled here is profoundly race-conscious, exceedingly liberal, free-spending even in the face of looming state budget deficits, and partisan. Elected president, this man would presumably shift the country sharply to the left on all the key issues of the day – culture-war issues included. It’s no wonder Obama has passed over his Springfield years in relative silence.

Thomas Lifson highlights these two examples, but be sure to read the entire enlightening article by Stanley Kurtz:

In 2004, a U.S. District Court disallowed the ordinance under which Chicago required the use of at least 25 percent minority business enterprises and 5 percent women’s business enterprises on city-funded projects. In the immediate aftermath of the ruling, Obama and Jesse Jackson were among the prominent voices calling for a black leadership summit to plot strategy for a restoration of Chicago’s construction quotas. Obama and his allies succeeded in bringing back race-based contracting.

[ . . . ]

A Chicago Defender story of 1999 features a front-page picture of Obama beside the headline, “Obama: Illinois Black Caucus is broken.” In the accompanying article, although Obama denies demanding that black legislators march in perfect lockstep, he expresses anger that black state senators have failed to unite for the purpose of placing a newly approved riverboat casino in a minority neighborhood. The failed casino vote, Obama argues, means that the black caucus “is broken and needs to unite for the common good of the African-American community.” Obama continues, “The problem right now is that we don’t have a unified agenda that’s enforced back in the community and is clearly articulated. Everybody tends to be lone agents in these situations.”

Speaking in reply to Obama was Mary E. Flowers, an African-American state senator who apparently broke black caucus discipline and voted to approve the casino’s location in a nonminority area. Said Flowers: “The Black Caucus is from different tribes, different walks of life. I don’t expect all of the whites to vote alike.  .  .  .  Why is it that all of us should walk alike, talk alike and vote alike?  .  .  .  I was chosen by my constituents to represent them, and that is what I try to do.” Given Obama’s supposedly post-racial politics, it is notable that he should be the one demanding enforcement of a black political agenda against “lone agents,” while another black legislator appeals to Obama to leave her free to represent her constituents, black or white, as she sees fit.
