And I Know You Will be Holding Me in My Sleep

Considering I have been having dreams lately about a woman whom I know to be my ‘dream girl’ (and about whom I have dreamt and written before), this song hit home for me after hearing it on NBC’s “Chuck” last night. Great, great song.

The show does such a great job with choosing obscure, but wonderful songs for their show to add to the emotional moments within the show between the characters. I hope they keep it up.

“In My Sleep” by Austin Hartley-Leonard & Kendall Jane Meade

Sunday, dark has turned to grey
The stars have made their way
I raise my glass
And part my lips
Tend to many deep
The only time I see you is in my sleep

Sunday, get up on my way
I think I’ll be okay
for a while
I know you
were never mine to keep
But I know that I’ll see you in my sleep

But time has been unkind
and kept me far from you.
But I know you will be
holding me
in my sleep.

I’ve been hanging on,
scraping by all my life.
And I know you will be
holding me
in my sleep.

I’ve been hanging on,
scraping by all my life.

And I know I’ll miss you.
I’ll always miss you.
But I know I’ll see you
in my sleep.

I know I’ll miss you.
I’ll always miss you.
But I know I’ll see you
in my sleep.”

Vampires are Not Emo High School Kids

Heh, great comment left here ripping on the Twilight series:

Vampires are not emo high school kids. Vampires are not angsty romance-novel cover models in poufy shirts. Vampires are not hunky guys who just happen to nibble your neck now and then.

Let me be clear: Vampires are walking corpses who feed on the living. When you watch Night of the Living Dead or any other “zombie” movie, you’re really watching vampires. Those dudes are vampires but we call them zombies because George Romero is a fucking illiterate.

Now and then you get a super-genius vampire who studied sorcery at the Devil’s school in Transylvania (it’s like Hogwarts, except that one out of every ten students gets dragged off to Hell instead of graduating — so long, Ron!) and by sheer superhuman force of will has retained his intelligence and cunning even in death. That’s how you get Dracula. He’s scary because he’s a shambling undead bloodsucker who isn’t a mindless killing machine. Oh, and Dracula didn’t spend his time wearing a God-damned white tie and tails. He dressed in regular clothes because he wanted to blend in, not look like some drunk in a vampire costume.

The whole idea of a “good” or sympathetic vampire is asinine. It’s like writing fiction about a nice SS officer or a sympathetic psychopath. If vampires were good, they’d go ahead and fucking die already, because their very existence is a sin against God and nature. They are cursed walking corpses who fucking kill people. That’s why we call them monsters.

If I ever meet Stephanie Meyers or Anne Rice I’m going to lock them in a room with a hunger-crazed animated corpse and see how long they think the blasphemous monstrosity is sexy.

So, Will Kanye West Make a Cameo at Celebrity Haiti Fundraiser?

I left this comment after seeing a Facebook ‘friend’ post this article: Hugo Chavez Mouthpiece Says U.S. Hit Haiti With ‘Earthquake Weapon’

Hmmm, I guess the evil BusHitler and Darth Cheney left their Hurricane machine for the Obama Administration and they converted it into an earthquake machine. So, will Kanye West appear during the Haiti fund-raiser on TV and say:

“Imma let you finish, but I just wanna say… Barack Obama doesn’t care about Black people”.

Ah, just checked, and I guess Kanye won’t be able to honor and enlighten us about the racist tendencies of Obama. That’s too bad, since Kanye seems to be one of the mostest amazingly astutest political minds of our time.

Hmmm, maybe I spoke too soon: Kanye West not banned from Haiti telethon

Well, either way, if Kanye falls through, at least Hollywood still has the option to bring in that other mostest amazing astutest political mind, Danny Glover.

To Hollywood, US Soldiers are Evil and Deserved to be Slaughtered as Audiences Cheer

I still am baffled as to why people — who claim to be conservatives and supporters of the US military — have supported (to the tune of $352 million domestically in North America) James Cameron’s left-wing, America-hating, US military-hating, global warming propaganda wet dream Avatar. Hell, even in the usually left-wing sports media they recognize it as crap:

I was troubled that the movie builds up to a lengthy sequence in which the audience cheers as former U.S. military personnel are graphically slaughtered, including a scene in which the blue avatar of Jake Sully, the protagonist, machine-guns some soldiers in the back. Edward Boyce of Sydney, Australia, writes, “You asked, ‘When did watching depictions of U.S. soldiers dying become a form of fun?’ Part of the answer is that the U.S. military is unpopular outside its home country, and Hollywood blockbusters cater to an international market. Avatar’s earnings in its first three weeks were $352 million in North America and $673 million in the rest of the world. I can’t explain why American audiences pay to see their soldiers blown up. But in the international market, dead American soldiers are appealing, and Hollywood is only too happy to oblige.”

Finally this from Trey Lindsey of Dallas: “I am a member of the U.S. military and I felt like I was taking crazy pills while watching that movie with my wife and son. I sat wide-eyed and appalled as the rest of the audience actually applauded as U.S. Marines — whether they were mercenaries seems irrelevant, they were referred to as Marines, called themselves Marines and wore Marine-style uniforms — were slaughtered on camera. I watched Avatar in Nashville, a historically conservative city located near a major Army base that is home to one of the legendary units that liberated Europe in World War II, the 101st Airborne. There is a graveyard in France full of men who once lived near Nashville and who died opposing fascist tyranny. But to Hollywood, U.S. soldiers are evil and deserved to be slaughtered as audiences cheer.”

What “Pristine” Planet?

The earth-worshiping Left likes to think of the earth as some “pristine” utopia were it not for we evil humans destroying it. The fact is that the earth is a violently unstable entity. There is nothing remotely “pristine” about it. This comment below was left in response to radical Lefty James Cameron’s nonsensical justification for his America-hating, U.S. military-hating, pro-AGW cult-worshiping flick Avatar.

VIEIRA: Yeah there’s a love story and also there’s a message about, you know, greed and when people want a lot of things, imperialism. All of that.

CAMERON: And how that tends to destroy the environment and so on. And here they are doing the same thing on another pristine planet that we’ve done here on earth. So it’s a way, sort of looking back at ourselves from this other world and seeing what we’re doing here.

Hmmm, let’s see, we have a pristine planet in this flick, eh? So, Cameron, tell me, when a large volcano decides to blow its top and spew plumes of toxic gases and megatons of dirt and grit into the air on this make-believe planet, is it still pristine? How about when there is a great undersea earthquake and the resulting tsunami wipes out hundreds of thousands of acres of ‘pristine’ forests and meadows and critters? Shall I even bother to mention asteroids, lightning strikes, hurricanes, meteors, floods, droughts, etc.?

Yep, and tornadoes and earthquakes and snowstorms and sub-zero temperatures and…

Some ‘pristine’ planet.
