New Theme Song of the Obama Voter – “Promises Broken”

Full scale retreats are costly. Phased draw downs are a bit less costly. But, the left (and the Obamatrons) insisted that we get out, and get out now… or soon, or rather quickly.

Now, about those bald-faced lies about how ending this Iraq thing was going to provide such a huge savings.

Go back to all the campaign promises, and post-inaugural promises, and all the decisions regarding the budget and bailout and stimulus that were all predicated with this false savings lie…

All one big lie, and it seems most of America bought into it, all of it.

So, where’s the outrage? [ … ]

Upon reading this comment by “coldwarrior” at HotAir in response to this post by Ed Morrissey, “Iraq Will Cost More to Leave than Stay”, a song came to mind:

And every little thing about this tells me
Nothing out there is ever gonna help me
And all these words that I hear spoken
Just promises broken now

The sad thing is that I bet most Obama voters are still clueless to the fact that our Teleprompter President has broken every single one of his campaign promises so far. That’s what happens when you drink the cult Kool-Aid and treat a dirty, filthy corrupt politician whose entire political background is in socialism, communism, Marxism, Black Liberation Theology and dirty Chicago politics as a sort of do-no-wrong perfect messiah.

Obama Lies About Iraq Drawdown

Brilliant post and series by Greyhawk at Mudville Gazette about the lies Barack Obama has been telling about the drawdown of troops in Iraq and how the mass media is covering up for him. Here’s his summary in Diversions (III):

Let’s recap the salient points here:

1. In September, 2008, the 5th Stryker Brigade Combat Team (SBCT) – after months of preparation – is ordered to Iraq. (One of two SBCTs that were then scheduled to replace the two currently in Iraq)

2. In February, 2009, President Obama announces his Iraq drawdown/Afghanistan surge – the 5th SBCT will be diverted to Afghanistan instead of Iraq.

3. March, 2009, the DoD announces the 4th SBCT will deploy to Iraq this fall, several months ahead of the original schedule replacing the 5th SBCT in the rotation in order to maintain two Stryker Brigades in Iraq.

For the record, I’m in favor of commanders on the ground getting the forces they need to get the job done. I have no doubt that two Stryker Brigades are needed in Iraq, and others in Afghanistan.

I’m deeply concerned when I see troop rotations “adjusted” in what appears to be an effort to fool the American public. But I appreciate that the Obama administration can do that in plain sight, even providing press releases detailing exactly how they’re doing it.

I’m even more concerned that those efforts – and the ramifications thereof – are obvious to an American media assumed to be independent of the Executive Branch but apparently unconcerned about reporting its activities. Item two above was headline grabbing/TV news lead story material – item three indicates it was a fraud.

One year ago that would have been a hell of a story, don’t you think?

Yep, it would have been. In the comments, someone mentioned that when President Bush decided to send some troops early to Iraq, the mass media and the Democrats were freaking out and made it a HUGE story, whining and wringing their hands that the troops weren’t properly trained yet and President Bush was being completely irresponsible, etc etc etc. But now when Obama does this? Crickets…

Be sure to read the entire series by Greyhawk on this lying BS by Obama.

The Red Pill (III)

Diversions (III)

Diversions (IV)

And here is an absolutely brilliant smackdown of Leftist BS in the comments section by commentor “ECM”:

Instead of posting a bunch of non-sequitirs and revising history, can you just answer the following questions:

1. Are you happy that Obama *isn’t* drawing down troop levels in Iraq?

2. Are you happy that, as it turns out, he LIED to you about this fact?

3. Are you at all bothered that because of this little political shell game, that there are troops that are now UNDER-PREPARED for Afghanistan and are going to be put in harm’s way?

4. Are you at all bothered that because of this little political shell game, that there are troops that are now UNDER-PREPARED for Iraq and are going to be put in harm’s way?

5. Does it even matter if we ARE a bunch of knuckle-dragging, war-profiteering, troglodytes working for Halliburton? Who cares if we’re a bunch of hypocrites?! What difference does it make in the context of what is going on here and now?

Here’s my answers and you tell me if I’m being a ‘pacifist’ or a ‘dissenter’ just because there’s a (D) after the prez’s name:

1. No, actually I’m pissed because a lot of fine men and women (and their families) were expecting them home and/or not expecting to see them leave so early.

3. Yes, I’m pissed and upset because he’s going to send under-trained troops into a war zone where, thanks to said under-training, they face worse odds of coming home alive and/or in one piece ALL IN ORDER TO APPEASE BRAINDEAD ASSHOLES LIKE YOU WHO, ALL OF A SUDDEN, DON’T SEEM TO CARE ABOUT THE TROOPS AT ALL (since, you know, you’ve been screeching for nearly a decade that you love the troops, but hate the war).

4. See answer 3 plus: we know you hate the troops, hate Bush, hate Iraq, hatehatehatehate and don’t care if another bunch of ‘knuckle-dragging, war-profiteering, troglodytes working for Halliburton’ marches off to an untimely death because you never cared about the troops and ONLY care about your precious Obama (who, incidentally, fucked you over in front of the world!)

5. None of this should matter if you give a damn about our men and women in uniform (which you don’t) because they’re the ones being fucked in this deal, regardless if we’re every bit as bad as you think we are. It doesnt matter how cartoonishly monstrous we are IF YOU CARE ABOUT THE TROOPS MORE THAN YOUR PRECIOUS OBAMA (who, incidentally, fucked you over in front of the world!)

The ‘best’ part is, he made ALL Americans in general look like the bunch of rubes you’ve been calling us in the ‘Red States’ for the past 8 years and at the expense of our soldiers’ lives, you asshole. And the biggest joke is that, instead of being upset about the little political theater he gave you (before he gave you the hook), you’re mad at us because we don’t want to see the troops take it like you like it.

I Feel Like I have been Betrayed. This is the Rise of the “me” Generation…

This was both heartbreaking and absolutely enraging to read: Overseas Troop’s Reactions to the Election.

The more and more I see the reactions of the dupes that voted for Obama and then see the reactions of those who will suffer from Obama’s Presidency, the more angry I get. The soldier in this article is exactly correct: this is the rise of the me-me-me, gimme-gimme-gimme generation. These people only care about themselves and feeeeeelings. Hence their voting for a completely unqualified tool solely on the basis of Blackness and feeeeeeeling good that America has a Black President. Nevermind the fact that he has no qualifications, no accomplishments and a political history full of racism, communism, socialism and Marxism. Oh yeah and being friends and working with anti-American domestic terrorists.

These same people shat on respectable Blacks who rose to positions of great honor such as Clarence Thomas, Colin Powell and Condoleeza Rice. Not to mention Michael Steele. Obama’s spiritual mentor of 2 decades called Condoleeza Rice “Condoskeeza” and the Left and Democrats did nothing but demonize Clarence Thomas and still do to this day. So they can take their pride in this nation and shove it. They weren’t prideful about Clarence Thomas, Colin Powell or Condoleeza Rice and they did nothing but demonize them. They are disgusting and contemptible.

Sitting on a couch in front of the television in the early hours of the morning, an Army Captain watched as the election results were being reported. He shook his head in disgust. “This is proof that the media can elect a President.” The room walls were grey concrete, the floor covered in a red Afghan rug, the sofa and love seat torn and worn down from constant use. The dusty television was set in a plywood box; a field made “entertainment” cabinet. The Captain continued, “I take [Obama’s] not wearing the flag on his lapel and his reasoning very personally. Fuck him. That flag is more than just about a country and its ideas; it is about the man on your left and right that you fight with and die for.” The Master Sergeant sitting in the room commented,“He has no use for soldiers. He never took the time on his tours to spend time with soldiers, only senior commanders and foreign politicians.”

As the morning progressed and the polls began to close, more soldiers filled into the room. It was now standing room only as Obama’s electoral count pushed passed 200. Another Captain spoke up, “If McCain can win California and Texas he still has a chance.” A Lieutenant grabbed the television remote and began flipping through the channels. “Look as these newscasters. These fuckers are making this a racial issue. This was never about race.” As he continued through the channels, every major network was interviewing an African-American, discussing some form of a “coming of age” of America. Another soldier spoke up, “This is not about race. It’s about religion. That is the war the we are facing. I want to see what book Obama swears in on.”

As the morning progressed, the electoral totals confirmed Obama’s win. The mood fell quiet, a feeling as if one of their own had been killed in battle. I looked across the room to a Major sitting near the back corner. ” The issues of race that are spouted by mouthpieces like Jesse Jackson, Al Sharpton and others can no longer be argued. There is now a black President. I don’t trust him, but then again, this is what this country is about… allowing an African American unknown to rise to President. As they say, be careful what you wish for. The American public will get what it asked for, whatever that turns out to be.”

Another soldier continued, “You know what really sucks is that none of our votes count. Sure, we voted, but they are absentee ballots. They only are counted in the event of a tie. What type of statement is that towards democracy. You fight, you die, but your vote while deployed doesn’t count.”

The group discussion continued, “As a military officer I will serve whoever is Commander and Chief. But this is the wrong guy for the job, and the wrong time for our country. He’s weak.” The soldier continued, “The greatest fear for a military officer is dedicating your life to a fight that ends up meaning nothing. This generation of Americans behind Obama is the “me” generation. They haven’t served their country, they serve themselves. They haven’t buried their friends for a cause they believed in and fought and died for. Now those friends that I buried will have died for nothing. All Obama wants to do is get us out.”

[ … ]

I looked over at a Captain sitting on a chair, slumped down, arms on the table. I asked him if he was alright. “I have no energy today. I feel like I have been betrayed. This is the rise of the “me” generation into the places of power.” The soldier next to him looked across the table at me, “I’m done. It has gotten harder and harder to do our job. This election is the final blow. I just need to finish up my time and get out.” As he dropped his head, another Captain slid his chair to the table, “Obama is now our President. We’re not happy about it. It sucks. But now that he is our President, we will support him. That’s part of being an American soldier. That’s what makes our country strong.”

I would like to know which book Obama swears in on as well. No, I don’t mean the Koran, I mean the Black Liberation Theology book(s). Obama is neither a Muslim nor a Christian. He is a smooth talking racist and follower of Saul Alinsky and Black Liberation Theology.

And now he is our President. Brilliant.

Are They Journalists or are They Americans?

I have to admit that the first thing that came to mind after reading this post at Blackfive about a FOX News Channel cameraman, Chris Jackson, rescuing a wounded U.S. Marine after an IED blast was along the same lines as commentor “Grimmy”:

“I suspect many libs will be condemning this cameraman for abandoning his “journalistic integrity” and doing anything other than standing by and filming the Marine as he burned to death.”

That was my thought as well. Actually I was thinking, for any other “journalist”, and especially a cameraman, their first instinct would have been “ooh! ooh! We’ve got action here! Where’s my camera so I can get this on tape and broadcast this exciting footage to the world to show how horrible it is here in Afghanistan and how Americans troops are failing!”

And then I got to thinking about how so-called journalists have always stated that they have to be “impartial” when it comes to war reporting and not “cheerlead” for the United States to succeed. They have to remain “impartial” and be journalists before they are Americans.

So, I’d like to know why journalists remain “impartial” when it comes to America’s efforts in war, however, journalists throw that impartiality to the wind when it comes to American politics.

Apparently, they are journalists before they are Americans and they are Democrats and Leftists before they are journalists.

Actually, in my opinion, all journalists are scumbags until they prove otherwise. Mr. Chris Jackson, you have proven otherwise. Kudos to you, sir. And kudos to FOX News Channel for employing such a man.

Nancy Pelosi: I Know You Are, But What am I?!?

I can do nothing anymore, but shake my head when I read such imcompetent, pathetic, childish idiocy coming from the Democratic “leadership”. And to think that there are other incompetent, pathetic, childish, ignoramuses who support and vote for this woman.

Instead of owning up to her own failures, broken promises and lies, she instead deflects criticism and turns it on President Bush. Brilliant. Absolutely brilliant. No accountability whatsoever.

And people wonder why our country is in the shape in which it is in? Just look at “leaders” such as Pelosi and your fellow Americans who vote for her and her colleagues. And there you will find your answer.
House Speaker Pelosi calls Bush ‘a total failure’ (1)

WASHINGTON – President Bush has been a “total failure” in everything from the economy to the war to energy policy, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi said Thursday. In an interview on CNN, the California Democrat was asked to respond to video of the president criticizing the Democratic-led Congress for heading into the final 26 days of the legislative session without having passed a single government spending bill.

Hmmm, whose fault is the economy? Last I checked, it has been doing fine under the Bush Administration, no thanks to the Democrats and the mass media proclaiming it the worst economy since the Great Depression every day for the past 5 years, scaring the American people.

Hmm, whose fault is the war effort? Last I checked, it has been a great success and we have won the war effort and our military is now simply working to hand over security and control to the improving Iraqi government and military forces. No thanks to the Democrats and the mass media who have been calling this war effort a “quagmire” and comparing it unfavorable to Vietnam since 2003 – in other words, pretty much since the day it began. Not to mention all their lies the war effort, their smearing of the US military and its members and the fact that the mass media pretty much fails to report anything positive coming out of Iraq for the past 5 years.

Hmmm, whose fault is energy policy? Last I checked, the Democrats have blocked domestic oil exploration, drilling and refining for the past 3 decades, which has put us in the situation in which we find ourselves today. They also push the biggest hoax in the history of the world in ‘man-caused global warming’ which led them to passing lousy legislation which raised the world-wide price of food which has led to millions starving across the world. And today, Democrats still refuse to drill.

And yet, Nancy Pelosi and the Democrats have the utter audacity to blame all this on President Bush.

Since Nancy and the Democrats don’t seem to understand logic and common sense, I will just put this in terms you probably will understand: FUCK YOU, YOU INCOMPETENT, IGNORANT, PATHETIC BITCH.

Do I feel better? Nope. That will only happen when you dolts are finally out of office and have stopped mucking up this nation with your incompetence and stupidity.

Pelosi shot back in unusually personal terms.

“You know, God bless him, bless his heart, president of the United States, a total failure, losing all credibility with the American people on the economy, on the war, on energy, you name the subject,” Pelosi replied. She then tsk-tsked Bush for “challenging Congress when we are trying to sweep up after his mess over and over and over again.”

White House spokeswoman Dana Perino defended Bush.

“What the president said is a fact — this is the longest a Congress has gone in 20 years without passing a single spending bill, so it’s clear that the speaker is feeling some frustration at their inability to do so.”

Pelosi’s outburst was a departure. Her usual practice in public has been to call Bush’s policies a failure — not his presidency or him, personally. Pelosi’s remarks are the latest evidence of the Democrats’ throw-caution-to-the-wind approach to Bush in the waning days of a presidency weighed down by an unpopular war and soaring gasoline prices.

Election Day, after all, is just over four months away; Bush’s successor takes his seat on Jan. 20.

Pelosi’s counterpart in the Senate, Majority Leader Harry Reid, long ago took off the rhetorical gloves. Last month, he ridiculed Republicans who sided with Bush on a Medicare bill.

“Who would be afraid of him?” Reid, D-Nev., said as many senators looked on. “He’s got a 29 percent approval rating.”

The public’s view of Congress is even worse. Its approval rating has hit a new low of just 18 percent, down from 23 percent last month, according to a new AP-Ipsos poll. Bush’s approval is at 28 percent, about even with the 29 percent rating last month.

Only 16 percent of those surveyed thought the country was moving in the right direction, a new low as well, although statistically the same as last month’s 17 percent.

Last week Reid and other Democrats dropped any pretense of trying to fight the president on battles they were likely to lose — even on the most important part of their jobs, which is passing spending bills that keep the government running.

Of the 12 annual appropriations bills, Congress is likely to pass one or two and send Bush a temporary spending fix for the rest. That would have to suffice until a new president takes office, Reid told reporters.

Privately, Democrats have said that either candidate for president — Democrat Barack Obama or Republican John McCain — would be easier to make laws with than Bush. But Reid made clear which he’d prefer.

“I would hope that before we would leave here this year that we would do a continuing resolution that would get us (through) until after Senator Obama becomes president,” he said.

Yeah, because Senator Hopenchange will save us from the Congress’ utter failure and incompetence. Uh huh.

*shaking my head*
